Frequently-Asked Questions

Do I need to provide any materials for my service, other than the TV?

You'll need to have all of the necessary cables to connect your TV to any AV components. This includes HDMI, optical, audio and power cables. If added to your service, you'll also need to provide cord masking or concealment materials.

Can my TV be mounted above a fireplace?

Mounting above a fireplace is possible if the surface above the fireplace is drywall or sheetrock.

What options are available for hiding cords?

Neatly dressed wires are included in your service. With the option of external cord masking, wires are enclosed in a discrete plastic channel that runs along the wall surface. In areas with drywall over studs, in-wall cord concealment is also possible using a power bridge. Wired are hidden behind the wall and pulled out through an opening placed lower on the wall. These cords are then plugged into a nearby outlet. In-wall concealment is not available above a fireplace or on brick. Cord masking or in-wall concealment can be added to your service at an additional cost. The customer must provide the cord masking material or power bridge.

Can you mount a TV on any surface?

We can mount a TV on drywall/sheetrock on wood, drywall/sheetrock on metal studs and brick. Mounting on plaster, tile or stone facades is not available.

What type of TV mount do I need?

You'll need a mount that is rated to support the screen size and weight of your TV. Tilting mounts allow you to adjust the vertical angle of the TV, which works well for TVs mounted above typical viewing levels. Full-motion mounts offer tilting, side-to-side swiveling, as well as folding arms to adjust the TV’s distance from the wall. You can choose to add a TV mount to your service at an additional cost.
